The Definitive Guide to Your Day on a Yacht
About to step aboard a yacht for the first time? Or a regular who wants to be sure nothing has been forgotten? Here is the complete YACHT~ME guide.
What to Bring — The Essentials
Sun Protection
- SPF 50+ sunscreen (the glare off the water intensifies UV rays)
- Sunglasses with a retaining strap
- A wide-brimmed hat
Clothing
- Swimwear (bring two, so you can change)
- A cover-up or a light sarong
- A sweatshirt or windproof jacket for the evening
- Shoes with light-coloured soles (dark soles leave marks on the deck)
Accessories
- A beach towel (we provide them on board, but having your own to lie on is handy)
- A waterproof bag for your phone and documents
- Seasickness tablets (if you are prone to it)
What NOT to Bring
- Hard suitcases — soft bags stow far better
- High heels — dangerous on deck
- Heavy perfume — it attracts insects at sea
- Too much of anything — everything you need is already on board
